The project will involve innovative technology for probiotics, nutritional fibers or other prebiotic drinks from whey and buttermilk, whey and buttermilk cheese from secondary milk processing raw materials (whey, buttermilk, skim milk). Research conducted by the Food Institute of Kaunas University of Technology provides the preconditions for demonstration experiments for the use of secondary milk waste in dairy products foreseen in the project. The results of the research activities carried out will be particularly suitable for adaptation in farms (agricultural companies and farmer production facilities); because the most relevant is the full utilization of the raw materials held by the farm. The project meets the requirements for R & D projects – a coherent, complementary knowledge-based activity based on knowledge gained from research and practical experience.
